About this tool
BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is the energy your body burns at complete rest. TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) adds activity on top. Eating roughly your TDEE keeps your weight stable.
This calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, considered one of the most accurate formulas for healthy adults. A deficit of about 500 calories per day leads to roughly 0.5 kg (1 lb) of weight loss per week.
Results are estimates — individual metabolism varies. Track your weight for a few weeks and adjust.
